About Me
Beth Le Grand BSc HCPC RCST BFRP
I always knew from an early age that I was here to help people heal – I was often told I had ‘healing hands’ and I would often ‘know’ things about people or things that were going to happen. I have ‘seen’ and ‘heard’ things since a young child, not seen by others around me, and have worked over the last 10 years to develop these skills that I tried to hide and ignore for decades.
Initially, I went down the conventional route of studying for a Physiotherapy degree and graduated from the University of Brighton with a BSc Physiotherapy Degree in 1997 and went on the work at The Royal Surrey County Hospital and Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospitals where I completed my Junior rotations gaining invaluable experience in both inpatient and outpatients departments and wards. This work gave me a strong clinical foundation on which to build my career that was to come over the next 3 decades.
I progressed onto working as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Heatherwood Hospital. It was here that I was fortunate enough to work as part of a multidisciplinary chronic pain team and learnt the importance of the holistic approach to health and wellbeing. I qualified in myofascial trigger point acupuncture (dry needling) which I used regularly in my clinical practice to provide effective pain relief for my patients.
Due to family commitments, I left the NHS and worked for 5 years in a private physiotherapy clinic in a prestigious sports club. After which, I went on to open my own small but busy Physiotherapy business which grew over the next 29 years through word of mouth recommendations. During this time I continued to study and qualify in different holistic therapies including Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Bach Flower Remedies and Sound & Energy Healing. I am a life long student and love to continue to study and learn and am committed to providing the best care for my clients.
I have always worked intuitively and been very lucky to be able to get good results by getting to the root of the issue, even in my early clinical years. I have been described by my clients as being the ‘bridge’ between conventional physiotherapy and energy medicine. As a Craniosacral Therapist, I am able to ‘tune in’ to the subtle rhythms of your body whilst providing a very grounded medically-trained safe space for you to heal.
In 2024 we followed our dreams and finally relocated to the beautiful North Cornish coast in and I work from my small, peaceful therapy space at home on our family farm. My dream for the future is to build a healing sanctuary on our land which will allow people to come and visit, to slow down, reconnect with nature and the land and to remember how to connect to our bodies and live full lives.
