About Me
Beth Le Grand BSc HCPC RCST BFRP
From an early age, I knew I was here to help to help people heal – I was often told I had ‘healing hands’ as a child and this has continued to be fedback to me many times over my career. Throughout my career as a musculoskeletal physio, which I’ve loved, I specialised in helping my patients reduce pain and restoring function. I trained in myofascial trigger point acupuncture in 1999 and this became an important part of my work. This fusion of western and eastern medicine became the foundation of how I moved from conventional physiotherapy into a love of lifelong learning of merging physical biology with energy medicine and alternative therapies. I loved learning of the complexities of our bodies and the mind-body connection yet the simplicities of our connection to nature, each other and the universe and it’s rhythms. I am an advocate of grounding, following the seasons, connecting to nature, enhancing our circadian rhythms and becoming our most authentic selves.
Initially, I went down the conventional route of studying for a Physiotherapy degree and graduated from the University of Brighton with a BSc Physiotherapy Degree in 1997 and went on the work at The Royal Surrey County Hospital and Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospitals where I completed my Junior rotations gaining invaluable experience in both inpatient and outpatients departments and wards. This work gave me a strong clinical foundation on which to build my career that was to come over the next 3 decades.
I progressed onto working as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Heatherwood Hospital. It was here that I was fortunate enough to work as part of a multidisciplinary chronic pain team and learnt the importance of the holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
I left the NHS to be able to work around my children and thankfully I grew a small but successful private business based on word of mouth recommendations and became known as the holistic physio – someone who would think outside of the box and who worked very hands on to reduce pain and get results. I went onto to train further into alternative therapies and gained qualifications in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Bach Flower Remedies and Sound healing. By working together with the needs and goals of my clients, I offer bespoke healing sessions that allow you reconnect with your innate healing mechanism, your unique blueprint that makes you who you are and live a life from a place of observation rather than reaction.
Alongside this clinical experience and knowledge, it is important I feel to explain that I have been an intuitive since a young child – I would often ‘know’ things about people or things that were going to happen. I have ‘seen’ and ‘heard’ things since a young child, not seen by others around me. This often scared me growing up and I tried to hide and ignore these intuitive gifts for many years. 16 years ago I worked within a holistic clinic which fellow therapists who embraced these natural skills and I finally started with the guidance of mentors and teachers to develop and grow these skills and they are now an important part of my work. These intuitive gifts together with my clinical experience and knowledge has greatly helped me in my career and enabled me to achieve quick and effective results.
I have always worked intuitively and been very lucky to be able to get good results by getting to the root of the issue, even in my early clinical years. I have been described by my clients as being the ‘bridge’ between conventional physiotherapy and energy medicine. As a Craniosacral Therapist, I am able to ‘tune in’ to the subtle rhythms of your body whether that be in person or via distance healing whilst providing a very grounded medically-trained safe space for you to heal.
In 2024 we followed our dreams and finally relocated to the beautiful North Cornish coast in and I work from my small, peaceful therapy space at home on our family farm. My dream for the future is to build a healing sanctuary on our land which will allow people to come and visit, to slow down, reconnect with nature and the land and to remember how to connect to our bodies and live full lives.
